Let’s start with, who is Ophelia Ray? Ophelia Ray is a family name and is short for Ophelia Raymond, my grandmother and my mother, Dorothy Ophelia. I feel close to my grandmother and mother when I am in the kitchen baking, so hence the name, Ophelia Ray’s.

I began baking pound cakes from scratch years ago at the request of my family and friends. Over the years, I expanded my baking to include homemade cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other sweet treats. I enjoyed the excitement, creativity and feeling I had with baking delicious desserts so I started my own business, Ophelia Ray’s Sweets & Treats, LLC. As a certified mixologist, I am able to combine both of my passions for creating drinks with desserts. Our menu includes alcohol infused cakes and cupcakes located under the “On the Rocks” section of the menu.

 

Although we are known for our variety of pound cakes, our Red Velvet and Carrot Cake are in top competition for being our best sellers. Our cupcakes and cookies are never a disappointment and will complete any event big or small.

 

Our menu is unique in that some of our cakes and treats are named after friends and family members.  Brooklynn’s brownies are named after my granddaughter since it’s her favorite treat to eat. Our bestselling pound cake is named after my Aunt Mamie. The cake is bursting with flavor and the taste will leave you wanting more.
